Youth and the environmentl
The project, funded by the French Embassy in Romania / Cooperation Service / Institut Français, took place from September to November 2020 and involved 100 high school and university students, as well as 3,000 young people from at least 10 high schools and universities in the city of Iasi.
Main activities:
- 2 seminars on European Construction and the EU's vision for the environment. As a result of the seminars, the young people learned the principles of the debate and were divided into teams, which prepared pros and cons on the topics covered during the seminar;
- 10 debates on environmental issues and European construction, lasting about 2 hours each. The idea of the debates was to develop the critical thinking of the participants, to analyze, to ask questions and look for arguments both for and against, in order to develop other perspectives on the truth considered absolute;
- Realization and promotion of works made by artists HarceaPacea, Frag.menta, Grafo and Chiribaw. They were inspired by the topics addressed in the activities (seminars and debates);
- Mural paintings - As the weather conditions were not favorable for an outdoor work, and the management of the Tudor Vladimirescu campus was not open to the most voted piece by the public, 3 indoor murals were made: 1. Ecological education in school curriculum, artist HarceaPacea - Faculty of Electrical, Energy and Applied Informatics Engineering; 2. Tamagotchi, artist Grafo - Student’s Culture House and 3. ECOEGO, artist Frag.menta - Student’s Culture House.
