ReintegrART
The purpose of the reintegrART project was to increase the degree of social integration of young people in difficulty from the foster care in Iasi and Vaslui. Institutionalized young people are disadvantaged, unlike other youth who live with their families. The family offers or should offer young people the feeling of belonging, the opportunity to learn independent living skills, financial management, communication, emotions management, examples of behavior in society, examples of relational behavior, etc. In addition to this deficit, these young people are in the high-risk of poverty category. Even if the young people from the foster homes came into contact with volunteers, projects and social involvement activities, they mostly knew the perspective of the beneficiaries, not of the citizens who can make a change in society. Therefore, not many of them participated in non-formal education activities, volunteering, social and civic involvement, activities that can help them in their personal and professional development.
The reintegrART project was implemented by 3 members of the Artipic Association, when the Association had not acquired legal personality yet, thus, with the help of the Cultural Association Moldavia we received funding and we implemented the project.
The project was co-funded by Ministry of Youth and Sports took place between August - October 2019, in Iasi and Vaslui Counties.
Beneficiaries: 45 children and youths from foster care centers in Iași and Vaslui
Main activities::
- 2 introductory trainings about volunteering, civic education and social involvement,
- 2 introductory trainings about entrepreneurship,
- 2 introductory workshops about art and street art,
- 4 street animation demonstrations - juggling,
- 4 study visits to NGOs and public institutions offering volunteer opportunities to young people,
- 2 clean-up activities of the environment,
- guided tours on 2 of the thematic routes of Iași,
- 2 labyrinth sensory theater performances,
- 1 tour at the Genesis Urban Art Gallery - Fix Hall,
- painting 2 murals (100 sqm on the facade of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Iași, 100 sqm on the facade of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Vaslui).
Objectives
- Development of socio-civic and entrepreneurial skills of 45 institutionalized young people from Iasi and Vaslui between August 5 and October 25, 2019.
- Raising awareness of at least 300 people from Iași and Vaslui on the low degree of social integration of institutionalized young people, between August 5 and October 25, 2019.
