Project description
The projectUrban Art Caravanwas a pilot project that aimed to facilitate access to culture for culturally disadvantaged communities. The project took place between June 20 and November 25, 2020 in the communes of Aroneanu, Victoria, TIganasi and Plugari.




Project details

The project Urban Art Caravan was carried out in partnership with Public Administrations of communes: Aroneanu, Victoria, Tiganasi and Plugari.
Funder: National Cultural Fund Administration.
Main activities:
- Creating mural paintings;
- Inauguration of 4 walls for legal practice;
- 4 introductory workshops on civic involvement + meetings with mayors;
- 4 introductory workshops in street art and graffiti;
- 4 introductory workshops in street dance;
- 8 demonstrations of street animation - juggling;
- 4 video mappings;
- 8 film screenings;
- 4 final events (exhibitions with photos from the activities, works made by young people participating in the street art workshop and artistic moments and not only,supported by locals);
- Touristic promotion of the 4 communes (documentary, maps);
- 4 dissemination events (project documentary screening).
Objectives:
- Beautification of the urban landscape of 4 communes in Iași County between July 1 and October 31, 2020.
- Development of artistic skills of at least 100 young residents from the 4 municipalities targeted between July 15 and October 31, 2020.
- Development of civic involvement skills of 100 young residents in the 4 municipalities targeted between July 15 and October 31, 2020.
- Enrichment of cultural-artistic activities in the 4 communes of Iași County between July 1 and October 31, 2020.
Results:
- Development of the cultural landscape in the communes of Aroneanu, Plugari, Victoria and Țigănași;
- Touristic promotion of Aroneanu, Plugari, Victoria and Țigănași communes;
- Urban beautification of 4 communes in Iași county with street art works totaling 220 sqm;
- 100 young people from the 4 communes developed their civic involvement skills and artistic skills;
- Over 3,000 inhabitants of the 4 localities benefited from facilitated access to culture and art (workshops, demonstrations, film screenings, video mapping, exhibitions);
- Over 12,000 inhabitants of the 4 communes benefited from the urban beautification of the area where they live;
- Development of the skills of the 30 artists involved;
- Development of the skills of the 10 volunteers involved (including artists);
